Firewalk events and ceremonies and certified Instructor training with Oona McFarlane, Sundoor Firewalk Instructor and Instructor Trainer.
Held at Tir na nOg Holistic Centre, a gorgeous location near Loch Lomond in Scotland, and by arrangement at other locations in the UK and internationally.
Firewalking can be presented as an ancient ritual of initiation, or as a cutting-edge personal development tool. It has been practiced across the globe for thousands of years, and has participants as diverse as young girls in Bali, Orthodox Christian devotees in Greece, and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey.
It is seen by some as an ‘adrenaline rush’ experience, and by others as a deeply spiritual act. It is inherently dangerous, and yet thousands of people have walked the coals unharmed.
This mysterious, contradictory ceremony raises many questions, and those individuals who feel drawn to try it for themselves often find that the answers are as unique as they.
The Firewalk ceremony is a symbolic rite of passage into a new way of being. Just as wildfires in nature burn away the dead and lifeless debris of the land and fertilise it with ash, leaving space for sunlight and rain to reach the seeds of new growth, so the firewalk allows us to release energetic and emotional burdens to the Fire, and make way for new beginnings.
Participants will have the uplifting experience of making a physical commitment to their chosen path forward – clarifying their vision for the future, and gathering all their courage, passion and focus into taking that first step towards it, knowing that – as in life – there are risks involved and fears to be faced. On the other side of the coals is the undeniable, physical realisation that anything is possible.
We run regular events throughout the year, available to book – please see the calendar page for links. We can also provide firewalk experiences for private groups or as part of your larger event, please contact us (email@example.com) to discuss.
